Description:       The NASA University Student Research Challenge supports teams of undergraduate and graduate students proposing new aeronautics ideas and concepts. Goals are to provide students with opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research of emerging aeronautics-related technologies.

Proposals should focus on one of the following themes:

• Assured autonomy for aviation transformation.

• Innovation in commercial supersonic aircraft.

• In-time system-wide safety assurance.

• Safe, efficient growth in global operations.

• Safe, quiet, and affordable vertical lift air vehicles.

• Ultra-efficient subsonic transports.

Eligible applicants are accredited US institutions of higher education submitting proposals on behalf of undergraduate or graduate student teams, including universities, four-year colleges, community colleges, and other two-year institutions. Faculty may serve as team mentors or participants. Cost sharing using crowdfunding platforms is required. Applications must be submitted online.
