Description: The Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company Foundation makes grants to organizations that support the preservation, promotion, and advancement of American Indian self-sufficiency and culture in the United States. The foundation offers funding for programs that support (1) the development of American Indian entrepreneurism, (2) facilitating American Indian education (particularly college, graduate, and postgraduate education), and (3) the preservation and enhancement of American Indian culture.
Previous grants have been used to fund indigenous language programs, Indian education funds, cultural diversity programs, schools, and youth leadership programs for Iroquois youth.
