A grant from the Xcel Energy Foundation will help support a new STEM learning initiative by the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota.
The $5,000 grant will be used to host a four-part series of activities which help highlight the importance of relating music, science, and math.
Each of the four sessions of this series will end with a performance at the Museum by Mankato Symphony Orchestra musicians.
The first session of the series begins September 12. Since opening to the public in May of 2015, the Children’s Museum says it has welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors.
