Qwest STEM Grant for 6-12 Teachers in NM

The Qwest Foundation for Education has supported Innovate+Educate with a $25,000 grant. This grant will be used to support teachers in the use of technology to improve teaching and learning. The deadline for this grant application is November 30, 2010. Award notification will go out December 10, 2010. The grant period is from December 1, 2010 to June 15, 2011.

Grade 6-12 Teachers from these counties are eligible to apply (this year’s grant is focused on the NM STEM Network Southern HUB and districts that are served by Qwest NM territories):
Note: Private Schools, Charters and Alternative Schools are eligible to apply.

1) Artesia
2) Alamogordo
3) Deming
4) Gadsden
5) Hatch
6) Las Cruces
7) Silver City
8) Roswell

This grant will include a pre and post test evaluation in how teachers are using technology in the classroom. Funding will also support the production of videos that demonstrate your classroom in action and travel to the NMSTE Conference to present and share on what you have learned.

Grant awards are range from $1,00-$5,000 (grantees applying for the use of automated response systems may apply for additional funding for the system).
